Connected Contests is an evolving online research tool to facilitate the study of agonistic networks in the ancient, post-classical world. It is part of Connecting the Greeks: a wider research project on the history of athletic and other agonistic festivals from 300 BC-AD 300 that is directed by Onno van Nijf and Christina Williamson at the University of Groningen.
The website aims to provide prosopographical information on the individual athletes, performers and other participants in the many contests of the Greek world, with an emphasis on the Hellenistc and Roman periods.
